Here is what I asked on that side: I want to try ubuntu touch on my FP5, so I need to downgrade from Android 14 (pre-installed) to Android 13. I have successfully followed the instructions on the FP page for unlocking the bootloader etc (https://support.fairphone.com/hc/en-us/articles/18896094650513-How-to-manually-install-Android-on-your-Fairphone) I downloaded the zip file, unzipped it and ran the script. It detects the phone and asks if I am sure I want to continue. I say yes, It then does nothing. Here is the output from the terminal. ❯ ./flash_fp5_factory.sh *** Fairphone 5 flashing script *** INFO: The procedure will start soon. Please wait... INFO: The package type is "user-factory" INFO: You are using a Linux distribution. INFO: Validating the integrity of the package. This might take a while. Please wait... INFO: Validation complete. WARNING: Flashing this image wipes all user data and settings on the phone. It will also remove the Google factory reset protection. Are you sure you want to continue? Type "Yes" (case sensitive) and press enter to continue: Yes INFO: Looking for connected device(s)... INFO: One Fairphone 5 in fastboot mode found (serial number: xxxxxx). I don’t really know what I should have done differently.

Hi @atarilinux Thanks for your enthusiasm. To start, here is the porting documentation because you'll probably need to prepare the development environment to build your own image for the Pixel3a. https://docs.ubports.com/en/latest/porting/introduction/index.html @fredldotme might find some time to give you more insights on how to proceed and the exact repository for the pixel3a. As you see we're not connected all the time, but I try to keep up with the forum as much as I can.

@ubuntoutou Check here on this thread. Check this out on TWRP. You can use TWRP to access partitions. This can be helpful in data recovery or making a backup. I do fear that you have lost all due to using the installer.

Hi, I am using Ubuntu Touch on Shift6mq. I like to swap between Wifi Data and Mobile Data. The Wifi Data usually gives me a list of Networks and which one is connected. However, turning off Wifi Data, then turning on Mobile Data; then access internet, then turn off Mobile Data; then Power off and Power back on: The Wifi Data is set on, but there is no list of Networks. Access to previously accessed Networks does not work. I have not found a way to reactivate the Wifi Network from this condition. Can anybody help? cheers, Steve D

Hello everyone! I would like to install a working version of Ubuntu touch on my Sony Xperia 10 IV XQ-CC72 Is this possible? (I'm a noob) If there's a version out there that's close but not finished, and I can help make it happen (within my modest means), I'd be interested. Thank you! [Translated from French with deepL]

Hi @wally Regarding the camera, it is indeed the main drawback of the Poco X3 running Ubuntu Touch. However, it is possible to use GCam through Waydroid : https://t.me/ut_pocox3/18640 As long as the codename is surya (Poco X3 NFC) or karna (Poco X3), there should be no issues. Concerning Canadian carriers, perhaps @Ontario can provide you with useful information.

Currently only the subcategories "Volla Phone", "Volla Phone 22", "Volla Phone X" and "Volla Phone X23" exist. For example: the Volla Phone X23 has comments in this forum in https://forums.ubports.com/category/118/volla-phone-x23

@qnx_guy I have no specific experience with the F(x)etc, but I've had a surprisingly good experience with the Microsoft Miracast V2. It seems to only be available used though, and is expensive. Mine has latency that seems to be less than 0.5s, which I find quite useable. And yes, the device becomes a touch pad mouse when connected, though you can also connect a BT keyboard and mouse. But it does seem like most people have a less successful experience than me.

@ancientsounds said in UT on F(x)tec Pro1-X: I haven't tried casting to an external monitor. From I was told, the change in hardware impacted this feature. So no display port over USB type C... Also, what I know is that it doesn't work.

@wally I bought an MS Wireless Adapter V2 a few days ago. It works (my Pro1-X runs Android 11), but there's some lagging (sometimes it freezes a little bit, as well), and of course it not as stable as a HDMI cable.

@Antares86 What do you mean by latest ? Most recent phone ported or most recent port whatever phone release date ? Anyway take a look here for UT 20.04 devices : https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/ One of the latest device is Fairphone 4 (Fairphone 5 incoming), ones of the latest ported devices are OnePlus N100/N10 5G.

@stoyanov_vl Reboot the device and leave it alone for about 10 minutes after booting up, the screen may kick in. I have had similar issues on other devices with a screen replacement. Another thing to try, if that fails is to back up data and do a clean install of UT.

@Lakotaubp I got a Pro¹-X yesterday and can report that installing UT using the UBports installer went very well, very smoothly. The build seems excellent, better than on the OnePlus 6T, which has a few glitches. Only glitch I've discovered so far is that flashlight doesn't turn on from the Battery icon switch. A sub-forum for this device would be helpful. Shipping was delayed for a long time but the company has a push to fulfil orders lately.

@Moem yes, I did. But the very first question I cannot answer is: should I use the full system image or halium-boot method or the stand-alone kernel method. I don't understand the differences. As I mentioned: I'm not very familiar with mobiles.
