@user_profile555 I might not be understanding you correctly: Are you trying to install a .jar file with the libertine-container-manager command line tool? That is not going to work, the install-package subcommand only understands how to deal with .deb packages. This .jar file, how would you go about running it on Ubuntu Desktop? That might give us an idea as to how you should go about this, if it is possible at all.

@valar_orome Yes, it is absolutely possible. The link, that Mario posted, is correct. No need for ADB, just fastboot. (BTW.: meanwhile ADB is working in UT at FP3)

@crab_aesthetics First I thank you for the process you showed in your install. It is a good road map. I will be trying a similar install as soon as I get my replacement phone. I will be using a Linux laptop and my cellular provider is Visible by Verizon.

I am having a problem that looks suspiciously like that of @shabreen ... How do you reboot to recovery? The power button either switches it on or switches it off.... Power button plus volume up sets it in Fastboot mode. Power button plus volume down gives a menu....

@magnolia_dudeFirstly glad your all sorted and enjoy Ubuntu Touch. Windows often throws a spanner in the works unfortunately. Things get lost during the process which is why we say to use the 15 sec adb version on windows and to remove other phone drivers. Why it happens I'm not sure, I never had an issue once I had 15 sec adb installed but others have. Some don't even need the 15 sec version. Which is what makes it awkward when adding or not adding info to the install instructions. Still maybe something to keep in mind. The snap version of the installer is in my opinion the easiest version to use and you can watch progress in the terminal.
